1. Filtration technology

There are several technologies which an air purifier might employ to tackle indoor pollution. Some work better than others. They may have different purification mechanism and some of the most frequently used filtration technology are:

HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) Filters

These efficiently clean allergens such as pollen, animal skin and dander, mold spores, and dust. HEPA filters remove at least 99.9% of all the particles as small as 0.3 microns. HEPA filters trap air contaminants in a complex web of fibers. Depending on the size of the particle, this can happen in four different ways: Inertial Impaction, Diffusion, Interception, or Sieving.
